Week 1 – 2

Home calm baseline

We start where real life happens — your home. Your puppy learns to settle, plays without losing control, and starts seeing the crate as a rest zone. We tackle the real puppy problems: biting that’s out of control and potty training chaos.

Week 3

Socialization done right

Strangers, new environments, body handling, sounds, textures, car rides — introduced the right way. Your puppy learns that the world is interesting, not terrifying.

Week 4

Social neutrality

Other dogs and people become no big deal. Your puppy learns to check in with you instead of fixating on every distraction.

Puppy classes are chaos.

In-home training means we work where real life happens — where the potty accidents occur, where the crate lives, where the biting happens. Puppy Training FAQs

The questions most puppy parents ask first.

My puppy already knows sit and down. Do we still need BUILD?
Yes. BUILD isn’t about tricks — it’s about emotional regulation, confidence, and socialization during the critical window before 16 weeks. A puppy who knows sit but falls apart at the doorbell needs BUILD. The cues come easier later when the foundation is there.
What if my puppy is already 4 months old?
The earlier the better, but we can still start. If your puppy is past 16 weeks, we’ll have a quick conversation on the consult about whether BUILD or LAUNCH (our adolescent program) is the better fit. Sometimes it’s BUILD with some LAUNCH concepts layered in, sometimes it’s LAUNCH outright.
How is this different from puppy classes?
Puppy classes are group-based, held in the same space each week, and focused mostly on cues like sit and down. BUILD is private, in-home, and focused on the real behaviors that create problems: biting, potty training, crate settling, reactivity on walks, meltdowns at the door. We train where it actually happens.
What is the daily time commitment?
About 15 minutes a day of structured homework, plus the normal puppy care you’re already doing. Most clients find it’s less work than they expected because BUILD gives you a clear plan instead of the “am I doing this right?” loop that most new puppy parents get stuck in.
What if we miss a milestone?
We keep working. If you’ve been doing the homework and we don’t hit a milestone, I extend the program at no charge until we do. That’s the results guarantee. See the “Our Promise” section above.
What happens after BUILD?
Your puppy has the foundation to learn formal obedience much more easily. Most BUILD graduates continue into LAUNCH (our adolescent obedience program) with a $50 discount, or bundle everything into JOURNEY (our full Year 1 program). You can also train from here on your own — your puppy will be set up for it.
